On December 6th, 2023, we received news that rocked our world - Invasive Lobular Carcinoma.
These are words that no woman ever wants to hear. “YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER.”
…And in that moment, our lives were changed forever.
Michelle is a loving, caring wife, and mother and fiercely devoted to her family. I see it every day, as I am her husband, Paul. She tirelessly takes great care of me and our diabetic cat, Bailey. I love her dearly. She gives back to the community, doing charity bike rides every summer, to raise money for cancer research (Ride 2 Boulevardia, Pedal for a Pour) and other worthy causes (Moonlight Bike Ride, Bike MS). Additionally, she volunteered for many years with the Kansas City Symphony and sang in the Symphony Chorus.
Along with the emotional stress that comes with her cancer diagnosis, comes the financial stress.
The cost of medical consultations, MRI’s, Mammograms, Ultrasounds, biopsies, surgery, treatment, testing, lab work, and ongoing medications after surgery, will run into the thousands of dollars, and includes very high out-of-pocket expenses. This financial burden adds to the stress of Michelle beating the cancer and getting better.
We are asking you to take a few minutes, join Michelle, and make a tax-deductible donation of just $20, to help alleviate some of the financial burden. We want Michelle to get better and beat this terrible disease. The plan is for her to have surgery in February to remove the cancer, along with radiation, and a pill to keep estrogen levels at bay. She is trying to maintain a positive attitude with this diagnosis, and I commend her for bravery and strength.
I kindly request that you please pass this along to all your friends and family. Every donation matters.
We cannot thank you enough for your time and attention.
