A message from my niece, Wittney Carter:
About a week ago my aunt, Michelle Witt, was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. This diagnosis comes a year after multiple doctor visits, trips to the ER (some via ambulance) and countless tests and misdiagnoses.
In addition to this past year, Michelle had surgery 2 years ago to remove a brain aneurysm. She powered through having to take several months off of work as a realtor after the brain surgery, but her most recent hospitalization and cancer diagnosis has forced her to take even more time off and unfortunately, she will only have to continue to take more time off for future treatments for the next 6-8 months (minimum). This in addition to the rapidly growing medical bills is too much for one person to manage and she is nearing the point of not being able to support herself through chemo. This money will go towards medical bills and living expenses while she is out of work.
If you know Michelle then you know she is strong enough to fight this, but she shouldn't have to wonder how she is going to support herself in the meantime. Let's help bring her some peace of mind and take some of the stress off of her shoulders so that she can focus on her physical health. I will be helping her keep this go fund me updated. Thank you so much!
