Until just a few weeks ago, Michelle was living life to the fullest—raising her 17-year-old daughter, Jenna, alongside Tom, her husband of 26 years. Michelle is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

On July 5th, Michelle went to the ER with severe back and abdominal pain. That day, her life was changed forever when doctors discovered a large mass on her pancreas. She was quickly referred to an oncologist, and after a biopsy, she was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer on July 10th. Soon after, she underwent port surgery and began chemotherapy on July 29th at Methodist Hospitals Cancer Center. Around this same time, Michelle also had to take leave from her job.
