As you all know, we lost a great man, friend, son, father, and husband this past week. Bob Barrett was a man of many great accomplishments in his life. He served proudly in the Navy. He worked countless jobs protecting people including the Hampden County Sherriff's Department and Baystate's security. But if one thing is for certain, Bob's greatest accomplishment by far was his family.
Michelle is my best friend.. as she is to so many. But more than that, the entire Barrett family has been my family since the first time I ever met them. I know right now reading this you are all shaking your head in agreement with me. They always make you feel welcome. They always are the first to offer help, lend an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. Their home has served as a second home for so many. And right now, they need us!
This devastating loss of our friend has left holes in our hearts and a pain no person should never have to feel. It also left a lot unanswered questions and a series of problems that no one should ever have to bare alone. We all know Michelle would never let any of us bare it alone. It is our turn to help her!
Please help Michelle lift some of the burden off her shoulders so that she can try to pick up the pieces and make her house, once again, a home for herself and for Lexie, Paul, and Bradie. We know Michelle would never ask for help. She is always the giver. That's just who she is and how she is built. But right now, she needs our help and support more than anything.
