Update: July 25, 2025
Our mom, Michelle Andrews, passed away unexpectedly on July 12.
That morning, she had taken a fresh shower and wanted to rest, but was feeling hopeful about her treatment. She sent me to the store for raspberry shaving cream… We were planning a quiet mother-daughter day the next morning—shaving her legs, painting her nails, just being together.
By that afternoon, she was suddenly gone. It happened quickly and it was hard, but she wasn’t alone. Her hand was in mine. Love surrounded her.
Michelle was spirited, strong, and incredibly generous. She loved her family fiercely and gave everything she had, even when she didn’t have much. She valued freedom above all else, and in her final days found joy in simple moments—birds singing, a soft breeze, music playing in the car, the green of the trees rushing past... and gentle massage of her feet :)
Clarifying the total you see here: The $5,110 shown includes $4,000 that was already used—before she passed—to pay her overdue mortgage, allowing her to stay in her home with peace and stability in her final weeks. That money is already spent, so we currently have $1,110 toward the $6,100 still needed to lay her to rest.
What’s needed to honor her wishes:
– Cremation: $1,900
– Burial fee: $500
– Gravesite: $1,000
– Headstone: $500
– Opening/closing of grave & graveside ceremony setup: $1,500
– Death certificates: $150
– Obituary notice: $150
– Funeral home administrative fees: $400
Total end-of-life costs: $6,100
Already available: $1,110
Still needed: $4,990
Every donation, share, and kind word helps us take these final steps to honor her life, her wishes, and the home she worked so hard to create for our family.
With deep love and gratitude,

Help Michelle Stay in Her Home While She Fights Stage 4 Cancer
We’re reaching out as Michelle’s children and family.
Our mom was recently diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. She’s already been hospitalized and started treatment preparation, but while she’s beginning her fight against cancer, she’s also at risk of losing her home.
Michelle had to stop working her beloved job as an OTA due to her illness, but her retirement benefits won’t begin for a few more months. We’re raising $15,000 to carry her through this critical window so she can heal in peace and return to the home she’s lived in and loved for 26 years.
This will help cover:
• Mortgage payments
• Utility bills through the summer
• Essential living costs such as food and gas
Michelle is the heart of our family. She loves her children and grandchildren, her mother and stepfather, her friends, and her sweet little dog, Chocolate (aka Princess Coco).
She finds peace getting ice cream with her granddaughters, walking in the rain, listening to music, and being outside—especially in the fall or by the ocean at Old Orchard Beach. One of our family goals is for her to be well enough to go this summer!
She’s always shown up for others with love and generosity. Now, she needs us to be there for her.
Every donation helps—truly. Thank you for being part of this circle of support.
With love,
Mandolin, Cody, & Kris
