Help Michelle Heal:Support for Open-Heart Surgery & Recovery

Hi, my name is Mallorie, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister & best friend, Michelle.

On March 31st, Michelle will undergo life-saving open-heart surgery to repair or replace her mitral valve. She was diagnosed with Severe Mitral Regurgitation — a serious heart condition that has turned her world upside down in a matter of weeks.

If you know Michelle, you know she’s one of the most selfless and caring people. She’s a loving wife, dog mom, daughter, sister, and the absolute best aunt to her nieces and nephews, especially Sloan and Devin, who adore her. Michelle has always been there for everyone, whether rescuing animals or collecting toys for children in need.

Now, with her surgery just around the corner, Michelle and her husband, Andy, are facing a financial burden that no one could have prepared for. Both of them will need to take time off work during this difficult journey, and Andy will be by her side to care for her through the critical first few weeks of recovery. Michelle will need full-time care for at least 2-4 weeks as she heals, and their lost wages will only add to the strain of this unexpected medical emergency.

We’ve set a goal of $24,000 to help cover the costs of her surgery, hospital expenses, medications, and follow-up care. This will also help cover their basic living expenses while Michelle recovers and Andy takes time off work to support her. Michelle’s recovery is expected to take 2-3 months, and the financial impact is real and pressing.
