Help Save My Mom’s Life: Critical Aortic Valve Surgery Needed
My name is Miranda, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my mom, Michelle, who has been diagnosed with critical bicuspid aortic valve disease and advanced aortic stenosis—a life-threatening heart condition she was born with.
In people with this condition, the aortic valve has only two leaflets instead of three. Over time, the valve becomes severely narrowed and calcified, forcing the heart to work much harder to pump blood. Doctors have now confirmed that my mom’s condition has progressed to critical aortic stenosis, which means her heart is under dangerous strain.
Recently, she began experiencing serious symptoms including chest pain, severe dizziness, and difficulty breathing, which led to an emergency hospital visit. She is currently being evaluated and monitored by doctors.
The recommended treatment for this condition is aortic valve replacement surgery. Without it, doctors have explained that patients with symptomatic critical aortic stenosis can face a very limited life expectancy.
Unfortunately, the financial burden of this situation is overwhelming. My mom has not been able to work due to her worsening heart condition. Her partner has also had to miss significant work to care for her and take her to medical appointments and hospital visits.
We are asking for help to cover:
• Hospital and medical bills
• Diagnostic tests and specialist consultations
• Potential heart valve replacement surgery
• Medications and recovery expenses
• Basic living costs while my mom is unable to work
My mom is only 55 years old and has so much life left to live. She is a loving mother, devoted grandma to her 5 grandbabies, partner, and friend who has always been there for others. Right now, she needs our community’s support to help give her the chance at a healthy future.
Every donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward her medical care and recovery. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to our family.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give during this incredibly difficult time.
