In December 2025, the nonprofit senior community center where I worked closed its doors, leaving me unexpectedly unemployed. Since then, I’ve been doing my best to stay positive and keep moving forward. As most of you know, live in South Austin and have been sharing a car with my partner, which has worked until now. Recently, I was offered a new job as a Fitness Director to an Independent Living Community in North Austin—about 25 miles away. Unfortunately, because of the distance and my partner’s work schedule, sharing a vehicle will not be feasible.

This new job is a chance for me to regain stability and get back on my feet, but I need reliable transportation to make it happen. Nothing fancy or new, just something dependable and affordable. And that’s why I’m reaching out for help. The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing a car, so I can start this new position and rebuild after a tough few months.
