I have been fighting stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized to other areas of my body. Because of my diagnosis, I am unable to work and am on disability, all while raising children under 18 and a grandson under 5. For 28 years, I worked as a CNA, caring for others, until my own health took a turn. The first year of my battle was extremely difficult—I nearly died, spent two months in the hospital, went to a nursing home, and had to learn to care for myself and walk again. Since returning home in June 2025, things have been hard, but I try to stay positive for my family and myself. My motto is: as long as God wakes me up every day, I will fight for my life.
Recently, my condition has worsened. I have inflammatory breast cancer, which causes severe pain and has spread through my lymph nodes. Despite everything, I refuse to give up, but things are becoming very difficult for my family. My car broke down and needs repairs, and I am starting radiation treatment while continuing chemo. I am on palliative care and would love to work, but I am unable to.
I will use the funds for reliable transportation to get to my doctors' appointments and treatments, for things my family needs, and to cover bills I am getting behind on. I also hope to purchase an electric scooter so I can do more outside of my home with my family while I am still able. I never thought I would ask for help, but I need support now more than ever. Any donation, big or small, will make a difference for me and my family. Thank you for reading my story and for your kindness.
