Help Michelle Eastburn Get Back on Her Feet
27th of April 2024, our friend Michelle Eastburn suffered a life-changing spinal cord injury while staying with people* she believed were her friends during an event in Queensland. The injury has left her without feeling and movement from the chest down.

*for current legal reasons the people or events leading up to the injury cannot be disclosed at this time*

In an instant, Michelle's life has changed forever.

The injury has impacted every aspect of her life- physically, emotionally, financially and professionally. It has taken away the independence and active lifestyle she loved so much.
Despite this, Michelle has faced every challenge with remarkable courage, determination, and resilience.

Since her injury, Michelle has undergone multiple major surgeries—including a T4 to T10 spinal fusion. She later required a second complex operation after two screws from the original procedure failed, requiring the damaged hardware to be removed and replaced with new, correctly positioned instrumentation which has basically put her back to square one, now having to relearn balance and small movements all over again. Michelle spent months in a Queensland hospital, far from family, friends and support network, undertaking intense daily rehab while adapting to a completely new reality.

Now back in New South Wales and living life in a specialist disability unit, Michelle continues to face new challenges every day. Yet true to her character, she refuses to give up. She remains determined to regain function and works daily towards her recovery. While we know she will never recover back to 100% and has at most a 3% chance of walking again, this will not stop her from making walking a reality.

Now, Michelle needs our help.

Anyone who truly knows Michelle knows she has always been the first to lend a hand. She has never hesitated to put others before herself- even now to support friends and family. It is our turn to stand beside her.

Our goal is to help Michelle access every available treatment and rehabilitation opportunity that may improve her recovery and maximise her potential. While she receives conventional rehab, many advanced therapies, specialised equipment and further intensive rehabilitation proven to get better and quicker results are not covered by her insurance or NDIS to date and any request from he has been completely rejected.

Every dollar raised is going towards giving Michelle the greatest possible opportunity to continue, excel and rise in her recovery- proving doctors wrong. This includes specialised rehabilitation, emerging therapies, adaptive equipment, travel for treatment and other essential supports that will help towards her goal of regaining movement and walking again.

We are asking Michelle's family, friends and the wider motorcycling community to come together and support someone who has always given so much to others without expecting anything in return.

No donation is too small. Every contribution brings Michelle closer to accessing the care and opportunities she deserves.

If you are unable to donate, you can still make a huge difference by sharing this campaign with your family, friends and social networks. this will make a genuine difference.

Michelle has shown incredible courage through every setback, let's show her that she is not facing this journey alone.
