Help Michelle Overcome the Challenges of a Double Lung Transplant

Hi everyone,

My name is Michelle, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times in my life. I have been placed on the lung transplant list for a double lung transplant, a life-saving procedure that will give me a second chance at breathing freely. While I am beyond grateful for this opportunity, the journey and recovery has and will be overwhelming—physically, emotionally, and financially. The minimum wait time is a week to a month for my transplant. I am on the high end of the list due to lung disease, autoimmune disease, and being a two-time cancer survivor.

Today, 3/1/25, I received my call and am currently at the hospital getting prepared for surgery. Ready for the new chapter in my life to freely breathe again.

The road ahead is long and challenging. The costs associated with my transplant and recovery are substantial, including:
