- Michelle was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer on September 5, 2024, a month after finding a lump in her breast and undergoing imaging and biopsy. While working closely with an amazing team of doctors, the plan to do a mastectomy followed by chemotherapy was set but quickly changed. As everything has happened so fast, the plan changed on September 30th when Michelle was told the growth of the tumor was 41-50%! Plans changed to chemotherapy first then surgery in early 2025.
While this has all been a whirlwind of information and emotions, Michelle has been in the greatest of spirits during this entire process. She had a port put in on October 11th and will begin chemotherapy on October 15th for 8 weeks, every 2 weeks, then 12 weeks going once a week. Plans for a mastectomy are set for March or April 2025.
Michelle and her husband are a single-income family and any help during this time would mean the absolute world to them. Taking the stress off the obligations of life and focusing on Michelle and her treatment is what is most important right now.
Funds are to help her family with financials while doing extensive treatment including gas for traveling to and from appointments/treatment, medical bills, food, and any bills that arise while Michelle takes this time off to beat cancer’s butt!
