Hi, my name is Sunny and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend, Michelle Gentry, and her husband, Nick.

Michelle is currently facing one of the most challenging moments of her life. While pregnant, she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, a serious inflammatory condition that already brought complications. Tragically, things took a devastating turn when Michelle recently suffered a stroke, which has affected the right side of her body and left her facing a long road of recovery, physical therapy, and life adjustments.

Michelle and Nick run their own small business, which means there’s no safety net of paid leave or medical benefits. As Michelle begins the difficult process of rehabilitation—while still expecting—they are also facing mounting medical bills, the cost of home modifications, and significant loss of income, as Nick steps away from work to care for her, their son and daughter and their unborn baby.

This fundraiser is to help cover:

• Ongoing medical expenses and rehabilitation

• Home adjustments to accommodate Michelle’s mobility needs

• Support for daily living

• Lost income while Nick is away from work
