Help Michell Share Her Expertise Globally

Michell has been asked to speak at the Special Education Conference at the Hanoi National University School of Special Education. She will be speaking on how school counselors can promote, build up, and support students with special education needs, as well as their families, within the public education system. As someone with 8 years of school counseling experience, and 15 years of experience within public education, this is something she brings a great deal of knowledge about and passion for.

The funds raised will be used towards travel expenses, primarily for the plane tickets necessary to attend this conference. The trip includes a 2-day conference in Lao Cai City for general education training for educators to practice student-centered instruction. The trip will wrap up in Hanoi with a Special Education Conference, where around 300 educators will be in attendance and Michell will be speaking, and then meeting with the faculty of Hanoi National University School of Special Education.

This is the conference's 11th year in Lao Cai, a province in Northern Vietnam, to present on interactive teaching methods for the general education classroom. Teachers who attend from different provinces will travel back to their respective schools to train colleagues with the material and information gained from attending this conference.
