This is my beautiful sister Michele, she is one of the strongest women I know. She was recently diagnosed for the third time with cancer, second time with breast cancer.
It seems every 5 years since the first time she was diagnosed it resurfaces again. Doctors believe that the first treatment of chemo and radiation is what caused her second and third diagnoses. This time around, they are recommending a double mastectomy with reconstruction. They are not sure if chemo will be needed yet. This is major surgery and she will be out of work for a while. She hardly gets a chance of recovering and getting some semblance of her life back when the big C comes back again. Two years ago, her heart was ill and she needed to have a stent put in. No one should have to fight cancer once, never mind three times. I want my sister to have the best recovery this time and not have to worry about all the bills coming in.
