Hi all, my name is Jasmine Morrow and I am setting up this fundraiser for my mom Michele Offord. Michele is a mother of 5 & a grandmother of 3. She has always been independent, a provider for her family, and has always cared for everyone as if they were her own. In 2007 Michele was diagnosed with CHF (congestive heart failure) In which she had to have heart surgery which entailed having a defibrillator placed on her heart to regulate her heart rate. In 2017 she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She started treatment at Boone Hospital Cancer Center undergoing radiation treatments. With no success Michele and family decided to travel to CTCA(Cancer Treatment Center of America) in Zion, IL. After several years of traveling for treatments, some partially successful others not. Due to the existing heart condition and the rarity of the cancer, a simple quick fix surgery to remove the tumors was not an option. As the anesthetics and being under too long served as an extremely low risk of survival. Ultimately the doctors at CTCA decided to not continue further treatments as it was not curing the cancer. Within the last year of not being treated the tumors have continue to vastly spread. Unfortunately, affecting vital organs and causing stress on her heart as well. Most recently being a tumor located in the pelvic region causing fluid retention in her thighs that has developed into Lymphedema. This has caused severe limited mobility as well as additional pain. Michele is now unable to care for herself physically or even walk as of July. We are raising money to help with medical assistance (Home Health to be exact) to be able to come out  and assist as the care provided by myself and my siblings is no longer adequate enough. She has Medicaid but she does have a $315.99 spend down a month which totals $3,791.88/year. She is also in need of a hospital bed since she can no longer lay in her bed comfortably due to where her tumors are located.
