Help Michele Thurmond with expenses and dreams

On January 1, 2017, Michele 41 opened her front door and finally met face to face the first time Tim 39; two people fell in love that day.

Tim has been a friend of ours for many years. You might know him as the Balloon guy from Gencon or other conventions or events near Brighton, Michigan, where he grew up. It was the begging of 2017 when Tim first told us about Michele, and to say he was smitten would be an understatement. They were engaged on their first anniversary and were married a year later. These two are madly in love with each other.


Shortly after they started dating, Michele began to get sick more and more. Even after countless Dr. visits and even some time in the Hospital, Drs could not figure out what was going on. There was a couple of cancer scares, but nothing that was confirmable. Fast forward to this past January. Michele got back from helping her aunt for a week in Michigan after her Uncle died, and when she got back home to Illinois, Tim knew something was not right. Michele was much weaker and, even after several months, did not recover. Then Covid hit. The test that was supposed to happen was pushed back again, and again the primary care Dr refused to do the blood work that was needed. Finally, things got so bad. Michele went to the Emergency room, where the DR there realized something was very wrong. Over the next 2 weeks, the news that started off as stage 2 cancer then went down the hill to the current standing of stage 4 cancer with both non-Hodgkins lymphoma and thyroid cancer. This is even harder to treat since they have also discovered a nasty infection that has been active for over a month and stage 3 Kidney failure.

As of right now, there is no medical program available to help her get over this. Michele actually has a very poor diagnosis.




That is why I am starting this GoFoundMe.

This GoFoundme is set up for two reasons.

Michele is acquiring many medical bills from all the tests and any medications and treatments that are being tried. Unfortunately, Michele has been on disability for several years, and with Tim working for a church, there is not much available to pay unexpected bills. We would hope that if anyone is available to help, this will help remove the finances' stress.
Michele and Tim found out all of this during the week of their 2nd wedding anniversary. Like most people, Michele has a bucket list of things she still wants to do and memories she wants to make with her husband before she runs out of time. We are trying to make those dreams happen and that those memories will help them through some tough times ahead.
Michele has many things she still wants to do, but there are some things like seeing the mountains in Colorado that are not possible because of the timeline. However, with Tim's help, they have found a place only a few hours from where they live that they can knock out a bunch of things in a few days. We are asking if anyone can help out and give Michele a dream trip; please do.

They are planning on Doing this dream trip mid December since after that Michele will have to stay at home to rest as much as possible.

 

We ask that if you can help in any way we know Michele and Tim would be grateful. We also ask that if you can give that if you can send a note saying how you want them to spend it, if on medical bills or on the bucket list.
