Help Michele Support Her Family Through Heartbreaking Times
Beschermde donatie
The past few years have tested Michele’s strength in unimaginable ways. After dedicating herself to working in senior healthcare throughout the pandemic—an experience that left deep scars on her heart—Michele was finally finding stability with a new job. But just as life seemed to be looking up, she received devastating news: her beloved son Andrew was diagnosed with a terminal grade 4 glioblastoma. He moved back home from Ontario to live with Michele, bringing with him a journey no mother should have to endure.
Not long after, Michele’s daughter, Shelby, sought refuge from a toxic relationship and also moved back home. While Michele was grateful to have both of them home with her, the household expenses quickly escalated. Both Andrew and Shelby contributed whenever they could, supporting Michele in more ways than financial, but the additional costs added a significant strain.
In the midst of this, rising interest rates increased the mortgage payment on her modest condo to an amount she couldn’t easily afford. Determined not to uproot her family and sell the condo during Andrew's illness, Michele took on additional debt, stretching her finances to the breaking point. Despite her best efforts, the mounting expenses led to late bills and a growing financial burden she couldn’t keep up with alone.
The emotional toll of watching her son’s health decline is compounded by the financial strain she now faces daily. Michele has been looking for a part-time job to supplement her income and ease her financial worries, but she’s physically and emotionally exhausted. The reality is, she needs this time to be with Andrew and focus on their time together, not to be overwhelmed by the stress of making ends meet.
Michele has always been incredibly proud, resilient, and reluctant to ask for help. She has sacrificed her own well-being, depleted her savings, sold her car and let go of many comforts to prioritize what really matters to her. But after two years of trying to manage alone, she’s come to a place where she needs a little help.
Please consider donating to help Michele cover her increased expenses during this challenging time. Every contribution, big or small, will allow Michele to focus on what truly matters: spending time with her family, being present with her son, and supporting her daughter as they rebuild their lives. Your generosity will make a world of difference to a mother who has given everything for her family and now simply needs a helping hand.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
