The past few years have tested Michele’s strength in unimaginable ways. After dedicating herself to working in senior healthcare throughout the pandemic—an experience that left deep scars on her heart—Michele was finally finding stability with a new job. But just as life seemed to be looking up, she received devastating news: her beloved son Andrew was diagnosed with a terminal grade 4 glioblastoma. He moved back home from Ontario to live with Michele, bringing with him a journey no mother should have to endure.

Not long after, Michele’s daughter, Shelby, sought refuge from a toxic relationship and also moved back home. While Michele was grateful to have both of them home with her, the household expenses quickly escalated.
