My wife, Michele Rodgers-Schaefer, is the most loving, caring, and kind person I know. On August 14, 2025, our lives changed when she suffered a brain aneurysm. She was transferred to Swedish Hospital in Englewood, Colorado, where doctors told us she needs surgery to repair the aneurysm—if it bursts, it could be fatal. The fear and uncertainty have been overwhelming, and it’s broken my heart to see her go through this.
Since Michele’s hospitalization, we’ve been struggling to keep up with medical bills, household expenses, and the costs of traveling back and forth to the hospital. Michele can’t work right now, and I have Crohn’s disease, which makes it impossible for me to hold a regular job. We’re doing everything we can to stay strong, but we have no funds left to live on. The support of friends, family, and even strangers means more to us than words can say.
We’re asking for help to cover Michele’s medical care, our household bills, and the travel expenses needed to be by her side during this critical time. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us get through this and give Michele the best chance at recovery. Thank you for reading our story and for any support you can give.
