My name is Michele, and I’m reaching out because I need help getting back home to Ohio to care for my mom. Right now, I’m stuck in Michigan, living in a house that hasn’t had running water for almost two years. After my ex cut the water lines, I tried everything I could to get them fixed, but my well is still not working. On top of that, my truck is broken down and I have no income coming in, so I have no way to get it repaired or make the move home.

What makes this even more urgent is that my mom has the onset signs of dementia, and her condition is progressing very quickly. I cannot stand the thought of her being there alone without me to help her, and I worry every day that something could happen while I’m so far away. She needs someone she trusts by her side, and I want to be there for her more than anything.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward getting my truck fixed, hiring movers and a moving truck since I don’t have any help, and securing a place to stay near my mom. I’m also hoping to cover a few months of payments so I can get on my feet once I’m there.
