Help Michele and family on the road to recovery

If you know Michele Emslie, you know she embodies resilience, love and unwavering strength; however, she and her family have undergone an enormous setback, starting in 2022 when she was diagnosed and underwent treatment for lung cancer. As many of you may know, Michele and her sons, lost her husband, their father, Gilles Lapres, to lung cancer 10 years ago. As you can imagine, Michele’s diagnosis this past year was incredibly difficult for her and her boys.

Fortunately, Michele is now cancer-free and recovering at home in the Yukon. Her sons, Sebastian and Milan have been rallying support in every way they can. Sebastian had to leave work to take care of Michele full-time while recovering. The many medical appointments, flights and accommodations, and the missed work for both her and Sebastien have resulted in significant financial burden.

Together we want to offer our love and financial assistance to help Michele and her family navigate through this difficult time and focus on healing.

The costs the family incurred are in excess of $15,000. They have received help from family, a small Yukon travel bursary, and savings but recouping an amount close to $10,000 would help them get back on their feet. Together, we can make a profound difference in Michele’s recovery journey.
