Help Michelangelo on his journey to recovery!
Michelangelo is a 70 year old African Supcata Tortoise who suffered numerous acts of violence late last week. The tortoise who belonged to a preschool in San Jose, suffered various wounds, lashes, stabbings to his shell, ultimately shattering the beautiful layer in 2 places. The tortoise was rushed to ARCH Veterinary Hospital in San Jose as soon as they discovered the incident that happened. Michaleangelo the beloved turtle, was a remember of the preschool where children enjoyed feeding and riding him daily as they learned to care for the animals. With such unfortunate news the tortoise had to undergo surgery to remove shurds of rubbish, wooden planks, and glass from inside his shell, and assess for any internal damage due to the impact of the injuries. Dr. Tal Solomon of ARCH Vet hospital made it his mission to operate, rehabilitate, and return the turtle to the children with no cost at all. He wishes for the tortoise to make a full recovery and return home where he is loved and adored.
For now, Michelangelo the strongest ninja-turtle we know is on his journey to recovery in the hands of Dr. Solomon and the entire staff at ARCH veterinary hospital in San Jose. He will remain in the intensive care, and the careful watch of several exotic and veterinary medicine professionals until he heals, rehabilitates, and can return to the preschool and children who love him so dearly.
All the proceeds will go directly towards the costs of Michelangelo’s rehabilitation, as well as, aiding other animals who have gone through abuse, harm, and neglect.
Thank you to the entire community for the support as we aide in the uphill journey ahead for Michelangelo!
