I am living with a very serious medical condition that has left my hands, arms, legs, and feet numb, and now the numbness is moving into my shoulder and chest. No doctor can figure out what is wrong without the medical tests they need me to take, but I simply cannot afford them. I am already on disability for other medical reasons, and after paying the doctor bills I can manage, I barely have enough money for my daily needs. The pain is constant, and I am unable to stand or walk for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time. I was able to take a nerve test, which showed that the nerves in my legs are permanently damaged, but the doctors still can't figure out what is causing this to happen.
I used to play guitar and teach guitar, but now I can hardly pick up a guitar, let alone play. My quality of life has dropped to zero, and I can no longer drive. I am embarrassed to ask for money, but it's the only way I can try to raise what I need. I've sold some of my guitars to raise money, and I will try to sell the rest, as I will never be able to play again. I have raised a little, but not nearly enough, and my depression is only getting worse. The funds from this fundraiser will go toward medical tests, prescriptions, doctor bills, and basic living expenses like rent and utilities. This support will help me get the answers I need and cover bills I'm behind on.
I want to thank everyone who reads my story, even if you can't donate. Please share my fundraiser, and one day I hope to pay it forward. I am not just begging for money—I am truly sick and would not ask for help if I did not need it. If I am able, I would love to donate my guitars and other musical equipment to those in need, rather than having to sell them. Your kindness and support mean more to me than you know.
