Hi everyone. I’m Michael and have been living with type 1 diabetes for almost 4 years now. I have had many ups and downs managing the disease along with chronic pancreatitis, anemia, diabetic neuropathy, and depression. Recently my life has been turned upside down (again) when I got a nasty cough that my immune system couldn’t fight and went to the hospital to see what all was going on. Turns out I have a respiratory infection in my lungs where the doctors also found pneumonia which can be deadly for people like myself. The doctors opted not to do surgery but I will be here in the hospital for at least 4 more weeks undergoing iv antibiotics among other things to get me back on the road to wellness,  like gaining back the 20 lbs I lost due to the infection and it’s toll on my mind and body. I have been unemployed because of covid and recently my rent was raised making it extremely difficult to focus on getting healthy when the bills keep piling up and I am unsure of how and when I can deal with all my expenses since I will remain in the hospital until at least the middle of October! Please help!  I try to stay positive but am very scared of what the future brings so I am asking and praying for some help during these hard times. Even if it’s just a hello or prayer or keeping me in your thoughts, and any amount of donation would be lovely. Thank you, M
