Help Michaelene Kick Cancers Butt

Michaelene received a Stage 2 Breast Cancer diagnosis on Sept. 13th 2021 at 32 years young, obviously hard news, to add complexity she is also 22 weeks pregnant with the Schwai's 3rd child (due in Jan. 2022).

After having a routine appointment for a small lump under her armpit. Test quickly showed this was nothing to worry about, but as a precaution Michaelene opted to have a mammogram thinking 'better safe than sorry'. This mammogram found 2 areas of concern. An ultrasound was preformed to get a better look and located what was believed to be two masses on the left side. After a biopsy was performed it was confirmed to be Breast Cancer.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind, including dozen of doctor appointments trying to determine the best course of action. Michaelene has a great team of doctors who have put together a treatment plan that will ensure a healthy mom and healthy baby. Current treatment plan includes multiple rounds of different chemo, surgery and treatment medications for years to come.

Michaelene and Austin are staying positive and focused on the battle ahead. They have quickly realized how strong their support system is and are thankful for the compassion already shown by family and friends. I can confidently say that cancer picked the wrong women to mess with. I have met few individuals in life that are stronger or have the perseverance that Michaelene has. This will be a marathon, but there is no doubt in my mind who wins this fight.

The funds raised in this campaign will help support the Schwai family with medical bills and all other expenses that will be unforeseen throughout this next year of treatments and surgeries. This family is very strong and is ready for the battle ahead, however, they ask you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
