Trying to Rebuild My Life — Anything Helps

Hi everyone,

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but I’m at a point in my life where I can’t get through this without asking for help.

Over the past few years, I’ve been quietly battling serious health problems. During that time, I was lucky to have a partner who supported me. But a few months ago, that relationship ended unexpectedly, and everything has changed. I’m now without a job, without health insurance, and trying to find my footing completely on my own.

I’m currently in Las Vegas, but I need to move to Colorado as soon as possible so I can live with my mom and begin to rebuild. Just when I was trying to make that happen, my car broke down — and fixing it will cost over $2,000. I’ve looked into renting a car instead, but even that is expensive, and I still need to cover ongoing medical costs, like doctor visits and lab work that I can’t afford to skip.

I’m setting this goal to help cover:

Getting to Colorado safely (car repairs or rental)

Essential medical appointments and tests

A small cushion to help me stabilize and start over
