Help Michael with cancer recovery bills
Hello, my name is Michael. I was diagnosed with a stage 3 sarcoma tumor in my right thigh on Nov. 2020. Since then I had radiation start in Jan. 2021. the of Jan. I got covid 19 and had antibodies infused to heal me. Then I continued to do the radiation treatments for a total of 29 sessions. On April 7th I checked in to the hospital and they removed the grapefruit sized tumor and reconstructed my thigh muscles. I was hospitalized for almost two weeks. Everything was going well until I had a fall in which when I fell I felt my thigh snap. I was in pain for hours. Then a month later my right thigh started to swell up with liquid. That was the time when the Mayo Clinic inserted a chemotherapy port in my chest. I was going to start the chemotherapy sessions, but due to the liquid in my leg it was postponed. On June 7th, exactly two months after the first surgery, my doctor have to open up my leg again to drain the liquid and make sure there wasn't an infection. On June 11th they found no infection and closed the wound back up. I was hospitalized another two and a half weeks.
In all I have been out of work since the beginning of April. All of this I didn't plan on happening. I have never begged for money, but the bills are starting to pile up and especially with the unexpected second surgery and hospital stay. On top of my regular bills still coming in. Hola mi nombre es Michael. Me diagnosticaron un tumor de sarcoma en etapa 3 en el muslo derecho en noviembre de 2020. Desde entonces, comencé con la radiación en enero de 2021. A partir de enero, me dieron covid 19 y me infundieron anticuerpos para curarme. Luego continué con los tratamientos de radiación durante un total de 29 sesiones. El 7 de abril me registré en el hospital y me quitaron el tumor del tamaño de una toronja y me reconstruyeron los músculos del muslo. Estuve hospitalizado durante casi dos semanas. Todo iba bien hasta que tuve una caída en la que al caer sentí que se me partía el muslo. Estuve sufriendo durante horas. Luego, un mes después, mi muslo derecho comenzó a hincharse con líquido. Ese fue el momento en que la Clínica Mayo insertó un puerto de quimioterapia en mi pecho. Iba a iniciar las sesiones de quimioterapia, pero debido al líquido en mi pierna se pospuso. El 7 de junio, exactamente dos meses después de la primera cirugía, mi médico tuvo que abrirme la pierna nuevamente para drenar el líquido y asegurarse de que no hubiera una infección. El 11 de junio no encontraron ninguna infección y volvieron a cerrar la herida. Estuve hospitalizado otras dos semanas y media.
En total, he estado sin trabajo desde principios de abril. No pensaba que ocurriera todo esto. Nunca he rogado por dinero, pero las facturas están empezando a acumularse y especialmente con la inesperada segunda cirugía y la estadía en el hospital.
