Update: From Michaels Family!

Michael was deeply loved, respected, and appreciated by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, he carried a warmth and sincerity that left a lasting mark on both family and friends.

In his professional life, Michael was a valued member of the Granite team, where his coworkers fondly called him the “social butterfly.” He had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, brighten a room, and bring others together, making everyone feel seen and appreciated. His kindness, integrity, and genuine care for others earned him admiration in every space he entered.

Michael’s greatest joy, however, was found in his family. He loved deeply and gave selflessly, creating memories and bonds that will continue to live on through those who loved him most. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and connection.

Michael Vela was a loving husband and father to 3 teenagers. Michael Vela was in a terrible car accident in the evening of Saturday August 30, 2025 leaving him fighting for his life. He fought hard but the hospital staff were not able to save him. His family needs our help to lay him to rest and support their living expenses. Anything you can donate to help the family is greatly appreciated.
