Hi all! As many of you know, I run a small, private animal transport business. In the last year I've driven over 140,000 miles with animals of all shapes and sizes and situations. I like to keep my business as affordable as possible, while still giving the animals that I work with the best possible care. That means I run very tight profit margins. And honestly, a lot of that profit margin is spent working to transport shelter animals from kill shelters to loving homes... I'm not a charity. But whenever I can make a trip to those shelters and bring back some amazing dogs, I'm going to do it.
And that brings me to why I'm here asking for help. I've about worn out my current transport vehicle, it's almost at 300,000 miles, and just keeping it running properly is getting exceedingly difficult. And the most I could take was four dogs at a time.
So, I'm looking at getting a new transport vehicle, one that would have more space so that when I do get to those shelters, I can take away 10 dogs, instead of just four, without having to put them into too small of a space.
So what I'm looking for is help in either a down payment or completely funding a new vehicle. By "new", I don't mean actually new. I mean basic, practical, and with lower mileage.
So please, if you can, help me to do what I love to do, and help me help those critters who need it.
