Help Michael Strong Survive Large B-Cell Lymphoma

Hi, my name is Brandy Mychan and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my cousin Michael Strong who has been diagnosed with stage 4 large b-cell lymphoma. Michael was diagnosed on October 30, 2022, after being admitted to the hospital with excruciating pain in his abdomen and back. The oncologist believes Michael has a 50% chance of a complete cure, but there are no guarantees.

Michael resides in Medicine Hat, Alberta as a single father of one son and living on a fixed income, AISH (Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped) due to chronic pain in his back and left foot.

Donations received will be used for transportation within the city of Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and trips including lodging to Calgary for appointments concerning Micheal's cancer treatment. Michael is too weak to drive or walk and exceeds 10 to 12 appointments each month in his hometown of Medicine Hat.

Michael is undergoing a combination of immunotherapy and chemotherapy and has just completed his second dose of chemotherapy and is expected to have at least 4 more doses over the next 12 weeks.

Michael's oncologist and nutritionist have requested that he take several different vitamins, drink protein drinks such as ensure to be able to consume 150 grams of protein daily and various other dietary needs that place a heavier financial burden he can't afford. Michael finds there are days he is too weak to cook for himself and his son and will need to order takeout.

Michael is currently taking 10 medications daily and 3 additional medications with each new dose of chemotherapy. Two medications Michael has been prescribed and needs are not covered for him but are costly.

Micheal is 38 years old and wants to see his young son grow up and isn't ready to stop living no matter what it takes to survive and any financial help he receives will help lessen the hardships he is encountering while trying to survive.
