My name is Michael Harris, and I am a veteran of the United States Navy. Recently, I lost my job of 23 years in construction due to a medical condition with my heart, where they had to place a defibrillator in my chest. I was a concrete truck driver and had a commercial driver's license, but in the state of Pennsylvania, once you get a defibrillator, you can no longer have a commercial driver's license. I was two years from retirement but because I didnt make it to 25 years, I only get 33% of my pension each month which doesn't even cover my housing.

Currently, I am behind on everything, including my rent and utilities. I'm afraid I am facing eviction. I also have repairs that have to be done to my car that I can't afford. If that goes down, I have no way of making my doctor's appointments. I am just behind on everything and in need of assistance while I'm playing the waiting game hearing from my lawyer. The stress alone is overwhelming me and not good for my heart condition which is a direct quote from my cardiologist.

I do currently have claims in with a lawyer for SSDI and to have my VA rating increased from 10% to 100%, and I'm hoping to hear something soon. My lawyer is saying I should hear by April 1st. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
