Meet the Sperry family. They are a loving family with 2 boys who live in Stillwater, OK. They are missionaries at Oklahoma State University and serve on staff with Chi Alpha, a ministry to students. In addition to being missionaries, Michael works at an auto body shop 2 days a week to help support his family.
On April 7th, Michael suffered a serious accident while working under his truck. Thankfully Michael lived, but suffered severe injuries that will limit his mobility for the foreseeable future. The accident broke both hips, crushing his left femoral head and breaking his right acetabulum. He also broke his pubic ramus, eight vertebrae, two ribs, and had a contusion on this left lung. He’s had extensive surgery on both his hips and will have a long road of recovery ahead.
Michael is in a tremendous amount of pain and is having to wait for his bones to heal enough to begin the rehab process. It will take approximately 6 months to determine if proper blood flow has returned to which a future surgery might be necessary.
Michael is wheel chair bound and completely at the mercy of his wife, family, and friends. They are deeply loved and we want to see them taken care of during this difficult time. PLEASE consider making a contribution as they will have many expenses accumulating in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
