Help Michael Recover from Violent Attack
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for help.
Our dear cousin Michael recently went through a terrifying, life-threatening ordeal.
In the early morning hours of July 3rd, Michael was the victim of a violent stabbing outside of his apartment in South Seattle. The attacker viciously stabbed Michael in the leg and severed his femoral artery. He lost massive amounts of blood and went into cardiac arrest. Paramedics arrived at the scene, perform CPR and gave him multiple blood transfusions. He was then rushed to Harborview Emergency in critical condition.
After a 5 hour emergency surgery, Michael had to then undergo a fasciatomy surgery. His condition is improving, but he will have to remain at Harborview until he is stable enough to be released.
Thanks to the sheer strength and the incredible work of the medical team Michael is still with us - but he has a long and uncertain road to recovery ahead. When he's released from the hospital Michael plans to move closer to family for a fresh start in a safer environment. But this transition, along with the cost of recovery, will be overwhelming without support.
We're rasing funds to help cover:
- Ongoing medical treatments and follow up care
- Safe housing and relocation costs
- Basic living expenses while he heals
- Mental health support and trauma recovery
Michael is a fighter, but he can't do the next part alone. If you're able to donate we would be incredibly grateful If you can not donate right now please consider sharing this with others.
Let's come together to help Michael get the second chance he fought so hard for.
Thank you, from all of us.
