Hi, my name is Deborah Ensign, and I’m creating this fundraiser to support my son, Michael.

In March 2025, Michael was wrongfully arrested and detained on serious felony charges that never should have happened. In a matter of hours, his life was turned upside down. He lost his freedom, his sense of security, and his ability to work, all while facing allegations that were later shown to be unfounded.

As a mother, watching your child go through something like this is heartbreaking. Michael has cooperated fully at every stage, followed every requirement placed on him, and done everything asked of him to clear his name. Despite that, the financial impact has been overwhelming. Between posting bond, hiring legal counsel, missing work, and keeping up with everyday bills, the costs added up quickly and continue to affect his life.

This fundraiser exists to help Michael manage the very real financial consequences of being wrongfully arrested and having to defend himself through a lengthy legal process. Many people who have heard about what happened have reached out asking how they can help, and this page is simply a way to respond to that.
