Help Michael Portillo Jr. go to New York City

Hello, my name is Laura, and I am fundraising for my son Michael Portillo, Jr.  Michael is competing in the Musical International Grand Prix  and he made it to the finals! We need to go to New York City to compete with all the finalists in his categories Classical and Popular Youth Voice on May 20, 2022. If he wins in his class, he will get to perform the next day, May 21, 2022, with all the first-place winners that made it in their category.  My sister Veronica will happily match any donations he receives on his Go Fund Me page.

 

My husband and I are trying to raise funds to get Michael to New York City. Our son Michael has Type 1 diabetes, and our money is spent on his insulin, transmitter, sensors, flex pens and insulin pumps. Even though I have insurance, I pay more out of pocket than the insurance covers. We do not want him to miss out on this great opportunity because of our lack of funds. He is a great singer and does have the ability to give his other competitors a run for their money. We will be using this money for plane tickets, hotel, food, and transportation.
