Hello, I'm Michael Peters, a true Renaissance Man living in Marin County, California. I'm bringing many of my creative talents together to launch a new business venture: Dramatic Events Marin (LLC). For the past 40 years, I've worked in a variety of capacities, but have vast experience in catering, designing for theatrical shows, and hosting special parties for my family, friends, businesses, and for multiple non-profit organizations' fundraisers. Dramatic Events Marin will offer services that combine all of these elements, with the goal of creating unique menus, custom decorations, and planning for theme parties.

I started cooking at age 10 and have worked with food a lot through the years, including doing food product demos, teaching healthy cooking classes, helping launch a BBQ take-out business, running my own part-time catering business for 7 years, and in recent years preparing and coordinating food for church, private, and fundraising events.

At the same time, I have been very active in the theatre world, doing everything from producing shows, directing, teaching acting classes, lighting, sound, and marketing. For 5 years, I ran my own children's theatre company and for dozens of years, I worked with youth through different community centers, public and private schools, and young actors' programs. Primarily, my career was designing shows, having designed, built & painted scenery and props for professional theatres, community theatres, and school drama departments. Having designed over 200 productions, I bring vast experience in creating original, vibrant, and exciting decorations for party settings.

In addition, my mother was an event, wedding, and party planner in Marin during the 1980s-90s. I learned a lot from her and often assisted with events from a young age.

My plan is to bring all of this experience together, with the help of other creative people, to introduce a service that provides both full-service party planning/creation as well as catering original, delicious food through a food truck kitchen. Launching in the fall of 2025, Dramatic Events Marin will bring a specialized entertainment experience to our community.
