Hi, my name is Sue Smithwick. I'm doing this fundraiser for my brother Michael Smithwick. He had a Liver Transplant on April 22, 2023.

He had a Fundraiser set up thru The National Foundation for Transplants. In April, he received a letter stating the were filing bankruptcy. A few weeks later he received an email that non of the monies raised would be returned to the donors that donated or to him or another fundraiser that he would set up.

The Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute know about this because they are the ones that set Mike up with the Foundation. There are Thousands of People that have been effected by this. The NZI, helped Mike get this months medications. Starting next week, he will have to start filling scripts again. The medications cost almost more than he makes a month. His medical bills are starting to come in. We are asking for any kind of help. Mike lost his car, while he was in the hospital for almost the whole year of 2023. It is hard to find rides when he needs to go get lab work, the doctor or back to ER. He already has had 2 surgeries this year. All due to the Liver Transplant.
