At the Escapes! to the Shores, we are more like family than some random collection of people who occasionally meet each other in the elevator or out by the pools. One thing that makes the Escapes! condo so special is that we all - owners, renters, and employees - share a connection to the building where all work together to ensure that the building represents one of the premier vacation destinations on the Gulf Coast.

Part of the glue that holds everything together is the dedication and pride of association felt by the employees who work at the Escapes!, and I put the professionalism of our employees up against any other condo building. In these days of instant gratification and fluid loyalties, our employees at the Escapes! look forward to coming to work and take pride in their efforts to make the Escapes! a magical place.

One such employee is Michael Myers who has been employed at the Escapes! for 16 Years now. His dedication to the building and owners is unmatched, and we all have been on the receiving end of genuine and heartfelt, "Have a blessed day" greetings. In 16 years, Michael has only missed one day from work, and that was only because his beloved wife experienced a severe medical condition and he needed to take her to the hospital. For him to continue that incredible attendance rate however, he must have reliable transportation as he has a 60-mile commute daily; it is in this regard that has necessitated this financial push.

Michael currently drives a Chevrolet Impala with 280,000 miles that is at or very near the end of its life. It is a mechanical trainwreck and can't be expected to last very much longer. A new car is needed in the worst way. Unfortunately, Michael has sacrificed his existing financial capabilities and credit rating to help his grandkids, so he is unable to purchase a car on his own. We have discussed this issue with a sales manager at a Toyota Dealer in Alabama, and provided we can meet a minimum down payment threshold, Toyota will be willing to issue a loan.

Given the Chevrolet Impala has a potential trade-in value, a cash downpayment of approximately $7,000 is needed. Michael's current financial position and credit rating will not allow him to make this happen. Therefore, I am appealing to each of you, both on the VOA and COA side, to assist with any donation so we can make this happen. In recognition of all that Michael has done for the building and for each one of us, this represents our opportunity to give a little back.

Please feel free to contact me if more information is needed. Thank you in advance,

Gordon
