Hi, my name is Michael Johnson and I'm 13 years old. I am from Ottawa, Illinois. I am asking for help in raising donations so i can play in the Dominican Republic this July 31st - August 6th 2024 to help represent Ottawa and the United States of America in the USA-Latin America Baseball Championship. Nations that have competed in the LABC include Dominican Republic, St. Croix, United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Cuba, Venezuela, and many other Latin American countries. I am so honored to say that I was selected and chosen by Jim Parque former MLB pitcher for the Chicago White Sox as I am 1 of 14 kids for the 13U National team who made it out of 5000+ athletes and with over 40 tryouts across the nation. He picked me! My whole life, well since I could remember at the age of 4, I picked up a bat and ball and from that moment on I have been playing, practicing, and pushing myself to get better and better. The positions I play are pitcher, middle infield and 3rd base. Two years ago I helped my Ottawa Little League team Rangers win the City Championship. Last year I played travel baseball with the Naplate Titans and I was the starting pitcher for the JP Sports All-Star Championship game. I helped take my Junior High Baseball Team, the Wallace Warriors to State this year. I am currently playing on the Canes Illinois 14U Gold team out of Naperville, IL. Being able to go to the USA-LABC would mean the world to me to be able to experience a once in a lifetime moment in my life like this to play at the most elite level of baseball and be able to showcase my talent.
