I’m reaching out with humility and hope. Michael Samalus, my 23 year old son, is currently facing a difficult legal situation. We believe strongly that everyone deserves a fair chance and proper representation in court — but good legal help is expensive, and beyond what our family can afford on our own.

Michael is more than his current circumstances. He has big dreams and a caring heart. Recently, he has embraced a new Muslim faith that gives him guidance and strength. He is eager to continue his education, pursue welding as a skilled trade, and take part in WWOOFing (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms), where he can learn sustainable farming and connect with others in meaningful ways.

We’re raising funds to cover the costs of a lawyer who can fight for Michael rights and ensure that the truth is heard. Every dollar raised will go directly toward legal fees and if possible bail.

This is a challenging and stressful time, but your support — whether through donations, sharing this campaign, or simply offering words of encouragement — means more than we can say.

No contribution is too small. Even $10 or $20 brings us closer to securing the defense Michael deserves. The lawyer is 25,000$. Once Michael gets out, if he gets out, he will be working paying off the lawer.
