My name is Michael, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing a challenge that’s made everyday life incredibly difficult. After my insurance was cancelled, I found myself unable to afford a new prosthetic leg. My current prosthetic, a c-leg model, is over five years old and no longer fits properly—the sleeve slips off after just a few steps, making it impossible for me to walk safely. This has affected every part of my life, from taking my son to school (since my car doesn’t fit a wheelchair) to being able to work. In fact, I lost my job because I couldn’t get there without a working prosthetic.
A new prosthetic leg would mean everything to me and my son. It would allow me to walk again, regain my independence, and do more outdoor activities with my son, like hiking, fishing, and joining our family’s annual hunt. I’d be able to train him for track and attend his meets, and most importantly, I could return to work and start saving for his college fund. As a single dad, your support would truly change our lives and help us move forward.
If you’re able to help, it would mean the world to us. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation—every bit of support brings us closer to a brighter future.
