Help Michael fund a new car for autistic son-work

Well, this is something I never wanted to do. I’ve worked really hard since 2015 to have a better life and change my surroundings and since my sons birth in 2018 I’ve worked even harder cause he’s severely autistic and non-verbal. Since he has come into our lives, it’s become essential that me and his mother both have a car to transport him, for medical emergencies if they arise, and for work to keep the bills payed, food on the table, and a roof over our heads. 12-29-2024, my car unexpectedly died and is no longer running and the car was bought off a lot meaning I still owe almost 20k still in loans for this vehicle and there is no support as far as warranty cause the car was a pre owned vehicle and the warranty has since expired. All I can do now, is hope there’s enough grace out there from friends and family or even strangers, to help me obtain a new vehicle so that my son, if something were to happen in case of emergency , I’d be able to get him to where he needs to go and for me to continue to be able to work and not lose my job. I’ve set this fundraiser to $5000, but as I’ve said, realistically it’s actually 20k of debt this car has left me with, so if with the public’s help we can pass that $5000 mark, you would be giving my family a fighting chance at not having to file bankruptcy and start our lives all over again. Anything helps, I hate asking for help, but this is really my last option to make sure my son and my family stay above water.
