Hello friends and family! I am raising funds to pay for a family law attorney for an upcoming court date. My son’s mother is trying to move away with him to Colorado and change the custody plan. Michael Fritz lives with me every other week, and he is very happy to have this time with me. He does not want to move to Colorado and be put into a new school. He is very unhappy with the time spent with his mother, and his mental health is suffering. I made the mistake of representing myself in court three years ago and lost the case because I was unable to afford an attorney. I have not seen or heard from my daughter since then, and it took me eighteen months to get custody of Michael Fritz restored. I have explored every option to get free legal aid for my son, and I have been unable to receive any help. Michael Fritz really needs me to stay in his life at this time. I lost my daughter because I was accused of being too controlling after I made a rule for both kids, limiting their screen time to no more than two hours per day. It’s very important that I have a good attorney for this court trial, which is scheduled for half a day in July. Some of my close friends lost access to their fathers when they were children, and it hurt them deeply. Michael Fritz and I are very close, and I know that he would feel devastated if our time together were to be taken away again. Being a good father to him is my top priority in my life.
