Dear friends, family, and community,

We are asking for support for Michael Frick, a beloved friend, talented chef, and passionate local business owner behind Saltxthyme. Michael is the kind of person who pours care into everything he does, and so many people in town have experienced that firsthand through the weddings, gatherings, and special events he has so beautifully catered. He is also known for tending the garden he uses in his culinary work, bringing that same dedication and heart into every meal he creates. On August 30, Michael was involved in a severe automobile accident and is now recovering at Albany Medical Center with a collapsed lung, broken ribs, and a fractured sternum. While everyone is incredibly grateful Michael is still here, these injuries have left him facing a long and painful recovery.

As a chef, Michael’s work is highly physical, and because of these serious chest and lung injuries, he is unable to work while he heals. This fundraiser is meant to ease the financial pressure so Michael can focus fully on recovery instead of worrying about bills. Donations will help cover uncovered medical expenses, essential living costs like rent, utilities, and groceries, and the follow-up care he will need in the weeks ahead.
