Help Michael Moran Find Stability After Amputation & Prevent Homelessness

As many of you know, Michael Moran is a friend to all who has always faced life with (some may say stubborn) strength. Right now, he is facing one of the hardest chapters of his life.

Due to complications from diabetes, Michael is currently in the hospital and preparing to lose his remaining foot. This life-altering amputation will leave him with significant mobility challenges and a long road to recovery. Compounding this crisis, Michael does not have health insurance, which means many of the costs related to his care, recovery, and basic needs fall entirely on him.

As devastating as his medical situation is, an even more urgent reality looms: when Michael is discharged from the hospital, he has nowhere safe to go.

Michael is at risk of homelessness.

He needs stability — a safe place to heal, access to basic necessities, and support as he learns how to navigate life after amputation. Just as importantly, he needs to remain with his beloved dog, Twyla, who is not only his companion but his emotional anchor during this incredibly difficult time.

• Medical and recovery-related expenses not covered due to lack of insurance
