My name is Michael Philips, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times in my life. In January 2025, I lost my mom, and soon after, I was unable to afford the rent on our home. I had to let the house go, and since then, I’ve been living under a bridge while trying to rebuild my life. Despite these challenges, I found a job at Dry Creek Golf Course in Galt, California. The job doesn’t pay much, but I’m grateful for the opportunity and the sense of purpose it gives me each day.

With determination, I managed to save enough money to buy a used car, hoping it would help me find a place to live and finally get off the streets. Unfortunately, just a week after buying the car, it was stolen. It’s been a couple of weeks now, and I haven’t had any luck recovering it. With flood season approaching, I’m feeling more anxious and vulnerable than ever. I have no car, no home, and my only refuge is my job, which I love and am committed to keeping.

I am asking for help so I can secure a safe place to call home and purchase a reliable used car or truck to continue working. If I am blessed with more than I need, I promise to donate any leftover funds to someone else who is struggling, just as I am.
