Help Michael fight stage four cancer

As some of you are aware, our dad Michael was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Less than a month ago he went to ED with severe pain after a bout of illness. We thought he had the flu but devastatingly things were so much worse.

Because dad's cancer is so advanced he was assessed to be eligible for immunotherapy and has already commenced treatment.

Dad is in his seventies and has been a self employed small business owner for for over thirty years. Prior to becoming sick, like many, he was struggling to make ends meet. Covid had a crippling effect on his business, causing him to chew through his personal savings.

As we try to come to terms with dad's shattering diagnosis, he is now facing the prospect of eviction and is trying to continue working but is very tired.

We're asking friends and family to please consider contributing to this fundraiser so we can keep dad in his home, where he's been for almost 30yrs while he undergoes this gruelling treatment without the threat of eviction or the pressure to work.

All money raised will go towards his rent and bills. We anticipate that things will get tougher for him as he undergoes treatment and that there will be additional costs associated with keeping him at home and anything raised beyond our goal will go towards this.
