Hi my name is Pat Fay and I’m Mike’s wife. On July 14th Mike suffered a catastrophic, rotational fall from his horse, Akela. He was unable to move after the fall and was expertly assisted by the other polo players to remain stationary. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent traction and surgery to repair his vertebrae and realign his spine. Mike has regained use of his arms but not his lower body. He will be transferred to Spaulding in Boston where he will undergo months of rehabilitation to restore as much function as possible. We have a long and arduous journey ahead of us with much unknown. We are remaining positive and hopeful for success.
