Hello my name is Jennifer Daniels I am Michael Daniels daughter. My Dad is a 60 year old hard working man who's life has been devastated by the Coronavirus. Michaels story started September 2021. He was one of three siblings. Him his twin brother Mark Daniels, and his beautiful sister Karen Regal. My Dad was the caregiver for my Uncle Mark his twin brother and he cared for him dutifully, tender, kind and lovingly. All three of them came down with fever and chills a day or two after Labor day. This is a family absolutely devasted by this virus as many in the world have been. My Dad didn't think much of getting sick. He thought of it as a common cold. However his fever of 101.4 persisted for a few days. He and my Uncle was tested about 4 days after symptoms started and it was negative for not only him but my Uncle Mark as well. The days progressed and their symptoms became worse. They were tested again and it was confirmed he Uncle Mark were COVID Positive. Aunt Karen had been positive and fighting her journey across town for a few days at this point. Come to find out there was a total of five family members that were positive with the covid virus and four of the five were in the hospital fighting for their lives, My Dad, Uncle Mark and Aunt Karen where there along with my Aunt Karen's daughter in Law. Three siblings each battling a virus that would forever change our families lives as we know it. Uncle Mark was admitted to the hospital on 9/17/21 he was discharged on 9/21/21 and heaven gained an Angel on 9/25/21. Mark Daniels was one of the kindest, most wholesome, loving humans I was blessed to know. He was so talented and he loved his family and friends with all of his heart. The dispear doesn't stop there. Aunt Karen went into the hospital on 9/17/21 and was called to heaven on 10/11/21. Karen Regal was strong, independent, loving and kind. She had a bond with her grandchildren that could not be described in words. Michael Daniels was admitted to the hospital 9/17/21 discharged 9/29/21. He is on the road to recovery each day there is improvement. He is working on keeping his O2 stats stable. Right now they are dropping significantly with just normal day to day tasks. He is expected to recover however he has other medical issues that stop him from working. I flew out to Tennessee from Albuquerque, New Mexico to care for him and thankful to be sitting next to him each day. However I will be flying back to NM
and I would like to have my Dad taken care of as much as possible. Any donations would go towards living expenses, oxygen therapy and mostly I would love for him to have a caretaker as I live approx 16 hours away.
This would mean so much to not only him but I as well. The stress of these expenses can take a toll on anyone. Right now my dad needs to focus on healing physically, mentally and emotionally. All three siblings Loved the Lord.
