Help Michael Britt Jr. Kick Cancer in the Colon!
Some of you know that my sister's son Michael Britt, Jr. has recently been diagnosed with advanced colorectal cancer. Since June 30th, Michael has been in the hospital for more than 25 days and is currently recovering from the first of at least two surgeries as he begins the process of fighting this awful disease. Last week, Michael had a port placed and tomorrow he'll begin his first course of chemo treatments which will be followed by radiation and then another round of chemo. Michael has a great team at MDAndreson / Cooper and we're very hopeful for a full and complete recovery.
Over the past twenty years, Michael has worked as an independent music producer and has recorded some of the areas top up- and coming young artists. He will not be able to work over the next couple of months and could use some assistance with rent, monthly bills and out of pocket medical expenses. If you are inclined to help out with even a small donation, we would be most appreciative. Even if you cannot donate, the family welcomes your prayers, cards and well-wishes as Michael begins this battle.

The incidence of colorectal cancers among young people is growing like crazy so if you haven't discussed screening with your primary care provider, you should do so.
